Intown Atlanta 2017-2018 Market Snapshot:
Single Family Homes Priced $600,000 – $1 Million
The Intown Atlanta market is hot!
In 2017 new records were set in the sale of single family homes priced from $600,000 to $1 million. Buyer demand far outstripped the number of homes for sale and inventory dropped to just about 3 months both of which indicate a true seller’s market. And with an average listing time of just 37 days before properties went under contract, buyers had to move quickly when a new listing hit the market.
2017 Market Stats
551 Homes Sold: 13% Increase
$735,000 Median Price: No Change
37 Days Time on Market: 18% Decrease
3.17 Months Inventory: 16% Decrease
The vibrant Intown lifestyle is drawing everyone from international professionals to empty-nesters and growing families. From the neighborhood feel of Midtown, to the hip condos in Downtown, to the luxurious estates of Buckhead, the Intown area offers choices for buyers in all price points.
With amazingly low interest rates, increased job growth, and more people moving to Intown Atlanta, the local real estate market should stay red hot for many months to come. I expect buyer demand to remain steady or even increase in 2018.
