Buckhead 2017-2018 Market Snapshot: Single Family Homes $500,000 – $1 Million

The Buckhead real estate market continues to thrive!

Home to some of Atlanta’s most prominent residents, and surrounded by upscale shopping, fine dining and luxury hotels, it is easy to see why Buckhead is a such a desirable location. 

Despite high buyer demand and relatively low inventory, the total number of homes sold increased 10% over 2016. Perhaps the most significant statistic from 2017 is that homes sold quickly – in an average of just two months on the market! 2017 saw an increase in the number of tear-down purchases for high-end new construction homes to built on those lots.

2018 Outlook

Surrounded by opulence at every corner, young professionals enjoy the fine dining, young families take advantage of the quality schools, and empty nesters are fond of the thriving arts scene. We believe that the real estate market should continue to grow in 2018 . Price should remain stable or slightly increase. Properties priced under $1 million will sell in an average of about 4 to 6 months, but well-priced properties in top condition will go under contract in the first few days.
